Design Inspiration
The whole design language try to capture the modern and high-end feeling as a music player application with snow elements to indicated it is specifically designed to use while snowboarding. The color choice is based on grey scale of snow mountain, and black and white colors creates a nice contract to indicate the functions differences.

Design recommendations
For snowboarding
1 Emphasizing accessibility
All snowboarding-related product and service design, both physical and digital, should be more inclusive.
Snowboarding requires physical abilities, but the diverse community, including those with disabilities, should not be overlooked. Current designs often neglect groups like the elderly, children, and those with impairments, such as visual challenges. Future product designs need to focus more on inclusivity, catering to these often-neglected but vital members of the snowboarding community.
2 Consider usage constraints
All snowboarding design, whether physical or digital, should take real-world utility limitations in consideration.
My experience and research highlight two key usability constraints in snowboarding design often overlooked. First, the sport's extreme cold conditions drain smartphone batteries quickly, yet many digital snowboarding tools depend on these devices, posing a challenge. Second, the high-speed and dynamic nature of snowboarding makes engaging with on-screen content difficult, especially when navigating downhill.
3 Prioritize safety
All snowboarding related product should prioritize safety, while it is currently lacking in digital product field.
Snowboarding, a thrilling but risky sport, often occurs in unpredictable mountain terrains where falls and injuries are common. While physical products and services have made strides in enhancing safety, there's a significant opportunity for digital tools to contribute. Digital products can greatly enhance safety by offering real-time updates on weather, fall risks, and emergency procedures. Prioritizing user safety is not just an ethical necessity but also key to ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for all snowboarders.
4 Comprehensive
experience enhancement
The next step is to design in a way that improves the whole snowboarding experience, from when people arrive at the resort to when they leave.
Snowboarding is more than just the descent; it includes preparation, sharing experiences, and unwinding. Current products focus mostly on the downhill aspect. Designing systems that streamline the pre- and post-ride experience can enhance the overall enjoyment, potentially extending the sport's longevity and attracting new enthusiasts. This approach benefits everyone involved in snowboarding.
5 Must-have sustainability
Sustainability should be a must have aspect for snowboarding related design because the environment is a significant aspect of the sport.
Snowboarding's reliance on natural environments necessitates a commitment to sustainability. By adopting eco-friendly practices, the industry can help preserve the mountains and resources essential for the sport, ensuring its future viability and enjoyment.
